Australian passport holder doesn’t need to Canadian Visa to Travel Canada with a tourism purpose. Instead, you will need an eTA. The term eTA stands for Electronic Travel Authorization. Since March 15^th, 2016, every traveler to Canada must have an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) without a visa requirement. Therefore, it also applies to travelers with an Australian passport.

Previously, travelers were sometimes not admitted to the flight if they did not have an eTA. Therefore, check carefully whether you need it. Although exceptions were made to this in 2016, travelers who did not have an ETA were nevertheless allowed on board, as long as they had the correct travel documents such as a valid passport.

If you still want to be 100% sure, request the eTA in advance.  Travelers can pay for this with their credit card or PayPal. Do you think you might need a visa? Then you can also check that via this site. If you request the eTA, you will receive a confirmation on the site and by e-mail after payment.

Is my information secure?

We use a secure connection (https). Your personal data is only requested to apply for the e-Visa. Furthermore, the data is not used in any way and is not resold to third parties or used for commercial purposes.

If you want us to delete your data, then that is possible and you can submit a request for this. You may not be able to pay or cancel your payment. If this is the case, we will save the data for a maximum of 48 hours.

If your e-visa has been delivered, we will keep your details until the date your e-visa takes effect. Special personal data (passport number, issue date, expiry date) will be deleted 72 hours after the visa is issued. For more information, read our privacy disclaimer.

When do I have to pay for my e-visa?

After submitting your visa application, you can pay immediately with major credit cards or PayPal. We will submit your visa application after we have received the payment. If you pay by bank transfer, it usually takes one business day for payment to reach us.

Can I get an invoice for my visa application?

Yes, the day after you have received your visa, we can send you the invoice digitally. Please send an e-mail with your request number and the request to send the invoice for your payment.

What else is handy to take with you

In some cases, the customs authorities in Canada ask how long you expect to stay in Canada and whether you have a return ticket to prove that you will be leaving again. A return or transit ticket is therefore mandatory.
